Cleaning & Care

Knitted products can be very delicate to wash, and with that in mind it's important to know how to care for an item that will see a lot of love in it's time.

Hand Washing

Step 1: Fill a clean space that can hold enough water to fully submerge the plushie with cold water, and a 1tsp - 1tbsp gentle detergent per gallon of water.
Step 2: Submerge the plushie using a pumping motion to entirely saturate the stuffing.
Step 3: After soaking for 15-30 min, rinse plushie under cool running water, or you can drain then refill the wash basin used while repeating the same pumping motion to remove any soap.
Step 4: Let air dry. Tuck any loose ends back into the plushie using a crochet hook, knitting needle, or even use your finger to gently re-hide the strand.

Step 5: Don't forget to reshape the plushie! Gently squish the body, head and limbs until back into original shape.
Notes: DO NOT WRING OR TWIST WET PLUSHIE!
(Wringing or twisting the wet toy can permanently stretch the knitted animal.)

How to Machine Wash

Step 1: Put the plushie into a smooth cotton pillow case, then tie off the end of the pillow case.
Step 2: Set your washing machine to "Delicate" or "Quick Wash" cycle along with a gentle detergent, using cold water, and a low spin cycle.
Step 3: Take plushie out of pillow case after the cycle has completed, and let air dry.
Step 4: Tuck any loose ends back into the plushie using a crochet hook, knitting needle, or even use your finger to gently re-hide the strand.
Step 5: Don't forget to reshape the plushie! Gently squish the body, head and limbs until back into original shape.

Notes: DO NOT WRING OR TWIST WET PLUSHIE!
(Wringing or twisting while wet
can permanently stretch the knitted animal.)
DO NOT USE A FLANNEL PILLOW CASE, NOR SHOULD YOU MACHINE WASH WITHOUT A PILLOW CASE
(Doing so will mess up the plushie, causing stringy yarn and lint all over the plushie.)
